As parts of the country are shivering under the first blanket of snow, we've been taking timely delivery of our sumptuous woollen throws for this season.

Perfect for snuggling up under on these chilly evenings, they are tactile, cosy and warm.  We think they look rather beautiful too don't you think?

When the temperature suddenly drops as it has this week I'm always looking for ways to warm up my (predominantly white) interior and adding textures and layers with rugs and soft furnishings is a great way of achieving this without blowing the budget.  Tempted as I am to start splashing around the stunning dark shades of Indigo which are so in season right now, I know I would probably regret it come the Spring so I've been gathering inspiration instead from beautiful rooms which introduce touches of deep colours and textures to warm the soul.

Scandinavian interiors are a huge inspiration for me and they have certainly perfected the art of getting winter ready with rooms which just make you want to snuggle down and prepare for the festive season!

That little bit of extra effort to light lots of candles in the evenings makes a huge difference too. We have lots of winter warming lanterns and tealights here.

Stay Warm! x
